FSU takes another one down to the wire, just to pull it out in the end. This time in the pouring rain. I was soaked all game, but was happy to be out in the elements as it made for a new dynamic for the photos. It was also nice to get back to the normalcy of sports after the rough week for a town on the mend after yet another gun-related tragedy.
Another school shooting. Another set of victims forced to deal with a lone shooter who was on the edge. When will we decide as a nation that the second amendment’s ‘right to bear arms’ was set in a time where the country needed trained, armed militia to defend from the long arm of the king, and not a right for every man woman and child to have a weapon. No time soon I fear…
Here’s how my video/photos of Florida State University’s vigil ran in USA Today: http://www.usatoday.com/story/
I got the chance to see my first Florida State University football game last weekend; was nice to be back in the big college game atmosphere. The drive back down to Miami (after just making the drive up the prior week to move to Tallahassee) was a bit intense. Three seven hour drives in the span of a week and a half. I’m looking forward to the next two home games coming up with no commute. But I really enjoyed the Miami crowd and the chance to step inside Sun Life Stadium. Here’s a few of the shots from the game.
