With the Men’s and Women’s BBall teams winding down (hoping for that New York/Tampa trip for the year-end tourneys with the respective teams) baseball season having opening day, and our annual baseball tab magazine to introduce the team, it’s been a busy couple weeks of sports shooting. Here are some of my favorites.
I glimpse into the grind; sights, sounds, scenes from my city.
The Census for the unaccounted. This was an interesting assignment. As there is no real calculation for those living on the fringes, (the U.S. government has an estimate of 600,000 homeless people in our country, but even that number is widely regarded for using the word ‘estimate’ too loosely) it can be hard to count those who need public services that are living on the streets. The Big Bend Homeless coalition attempts to do exactly that in Tallahassee with nearly two-hundred volunteers canvasing the streets for three days to help document how many people are living on the edge of society. I followed them to share the story.
